ABOUT BytesPrice

More storage. Less time shopping.

I'm a computer enthusiast with a NAS at home: a storage box on my network where I keep photos, videos, and files. It's a practical little setup, and there's always something else to put on it.

When it started running low on space, I went looking for bigger hard drives. That should have been a quick job. Instead, I ended up with a browser full of tabs, comparing capacities, prices, and listings for new and refurbished drives. Every time I came back to the search, I had to piece the comparison together again.

I wanted one place to see the options and work out where my money would buy the most storage. So I built BytesPrice. It brings hard drive prices from different retailers together and shows the price per terabyte, making it easier to compare drives of different sizes.

This site grew out of a shopping problem I had at home. If you're expanding your NAS, building a home server, or just looking for more space, I hope it saves you some of the tab-hopping that got me started.
